Wipe out the genealogy lists and halve the number of psalms and you'll have a best seller on your hands. What it lacks is any mention of special forces, Ramboesque heroism and the inclusion of a helicopter gunship or 2000. Plus you need to add a bit more drug use and "banging tunes" to help it to appeal to the younger generation. We have the apocalyptical ending but Revelation needs to be clearer so we can difuse the nutters. The New Testament needs to be "sexed up" a little though - not enough Old Testament incest here.
